Paediatric Seroprevalence Studies of COVID-19 and Biochemical Monitoring of Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C)

In this presentation, I will discuss serological assessment of school children for COVID-19 antibodies using immunoglobulin M (IgM) and immunoglobulin G (IgG) assays as well as rapid antigen testing for active
infection. In addition, biochemical monitoring of inflammatory markers such as cytokines, CRP, and Ferritin in children presenting at SickKids with evidence of COVID-19 exposure and hyperinflammation.
