Jan 13, 2018 9:00am to 4:30pm LMPSU Conference - Repair and Recovery: Facets of Fibrosis

Repair and Recovery: Facets of Fibrosis is a one-day conference that will provide a thorough analysis of the current progress in fibrosis research as well as a guide to where the field is headed next.

Fibrosis plays a pivotal role in human homeostasis. It can be both reparative and damaging and is implicated in a wide range of diseases. From lungs to kidneys, fibrosis impacts virtually every organ system. These ailments often lack effective cures, marking fibrosis as a crucial area for future discovery. Past research has allowed scientists to develop more effective treatments for diseases like cystic fibrosis. Despite this progress, there is considerable room for growth and the field of fibrosis research represents a key area of discovery for the coming years.
